Lighted Balls Workshop – Dec. 5 – 10 AM – 12 Noon

Come and learn how to make the beautiful Lighted Balls like you see around Fulton Heights. We provide the poultry wire, instructions and guidance. You bring two strings (100 each) lights. It’s easier than it looks! Gloves are helpful. Free, but some canned food for Rowan Helping Ministry is appreciated. Lower level of Maupin Avenue Presbyterian Church (Fulton and Maupin); wear mask and socially distance. Make the neighborhood look great for our “Lights of Fulton Heights” drive-through event on December 19. Sponsored by Fulton Heights Neighborhood Association.

The Fulton Heights neighborhood will not be having our usual Halloween Parade and Costume contest. Neighbors have been asking about trick or treating. Novant Hospital sent out this advice, which basically says to be cautious, to wash hands frequently, to be in very small groups. to wear a mask (not just a Halloween Mask), and to avoid distributing candy to a cluster of children at your door. Mostly – be safe! https://www.novanthealth.org/healthy-headlines/your-guide-to-halloween-trick-or-treating-and-covid-19

Mitchell Avenue Clean Up Oct. 16

Please join your neighbors to spruce up our Mitchell Median, especially the flowers in the end caps as well as around the trees. It is our responsibility to make this median look great. Andrew will arrive at 11 AM, but you can start/finish any time. You don’t need to live on Mitchell to help!! We do appreciate the several people who keep up the mowing all summer! Tim has already started on one of the end caps! See you there!
